The Christmas season is quickly approaching. As we prepare to celebrate our Savior’s
birth, we realize that many families in our community are struggling.
Your Tiftarea YMCA is asking you to be that helping hand which is
so desperately needed. Could you adopt a
local child for Christmas? The YMCA has
a list of children whose families will not be able to provide Christmas gifts
for them without outside assistance.
Please join together with your Y in sharing Christ’s love with
those less fortunate in our community and sign up for this worthy project. May we live up to the scripture from 2 Corinthians 9:7,”So let each one give
as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver.”
Your Y asks that you adopt a child to help celebrate Christ’s
birth and provide him/her with a laundry basket filled with shoes, underwear, clothing, a Bible and toys. All baskets need to be dropped off at the
YMCA office (1657 S Carpenter Rd.) no later than Friday December 4th .
The children will be hosted into a special site and given the
baskets where they are able to view all of their presents!
